In later years,  my father would often refer to me as DD (Darling Daughter) and sign his correspondence as GG (Gorgeous George) He was a giant of a man, and a gentleman  in the all encompassing sense of the word. I never heard him say a bad word about anyone.  We were lucky to have him for as long as we did, and I am proud to call him my father.
